Chinatown Land Trust Fundraising Walk, Talk & Dim Sum Lunch
A special walking tour of Toronto’s Chinatown led by Chiyi Tam, Managing Director and Co-Founder of the Toronto Chinatown Land Trust along with Toronto Chief Planner Jason Thorne.
Community Land Trusts are playing an increasingly important role in preserving affordability, cultural identity, and long-term community stewardship. For planners and city-builders, this is a unique opportunity to explore how Community Land Trusts can complement traditional planning tools and policies. Attendees will also learn about the history of resilience and advocacy in Chinatown, including the Toronto Chinatown Land Trust’s efforts to acquire its first building at 81 Huron Street.
After the tour, the conversation will continue over tea and dim sum.
